The move isn’t the hard part. The street is.

Two flats with identical contents can be an hour apart in real terms, and the difference is never the furniture. It’s a goods lift that needed booking a week ago. A permit bay nobody applied for. A staircase with a turn at the top that the wardrobe won’t take.
Most quotes are built from a room count and a postcode, then corrected on the day. We check both ends first.
Ancoats and New Islington
Mill conversions mean booked goods lifts, cobbled setts, and a freight entrance that’s often on a different street to your front door. We book the lift slot and we bring the flooring protection.
City-centre towers
Deansgate, Green Quarter, Salford Quays. Service lift slots, dock bookings, concierge sign-in, and height limits in the undercroft that decide which van we send. We confirm all four before the day.
Didsbury and Chorlton
Victorian semis with narrow entries and a turn at the top of the stairs. Permit bays that need a suspension applying for. We measure the door before we promise the sofa fits through it.
The Northern Quarter
A one-way system, pedestrianised stretches and restricted loading hours. There is rarely a bay outside. We plan the load window and the walk-in distance, and we price both.
Hale, Bowdon and Bramhall
Long drives, gravel, gated entries and low branches. Garden rooms and outbuildings that don’t get mentioned at quote stage. We walk the whole property, not just the house.
Permits across ten boroughs
Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport and the rest each run their own bay suspension process, with their own form and their own notice period. We apply on your behalf, in the right borough, with time to spare.
None of this is exotic. It’s just the part of the job that decides whether your move runs to time — so it’s the part we do first.

Four steps. No surprises in any of them.

Tell us about the move
Six questions online, or one phone call. Postcodes, property type, rough contents, and anything you already know is awkward.

We survey the access
Video survey or in person, whichever suits. This is where we check the parking, the stairs, the lift, the doorways and the permit position at both ends.
03
You get a fixed price
Written, itemised, and held. It includes the crew, the vehicle, the protection, the permit application and the mileage. If we’ve missed something, that’s our problem, not a variation.
04
We move you
A named crew, on the agreed date, to the plan you’ve already seen.
The only thing that changes the price is you changing the job — more to move, a different property, a different date. We’ll tell you what it costs before we do it.
04 — On the day
What turning up properly looks like.
The van arrives loaded with the things that stop damage happening, not the things that fix it afterwards.
Protection first. Floor runners, door frame guards, mattress covers, and blankets on every hard edge before a single item moves.
Dismantle and rebuild. Beds, wardrobes and tables come apart properly and go back together the same day, with the fixings bagged and labelled per item.
Loaded to a plan. Heaviest at the bulkhead, fragile boxed and braced, room labels facing out so unloading goes to the right room first time.
A named crew. You get the crew leader’s name before the day, and they’re the person you speak to on it.
